God made the King and the King rules the earth. No questions. King Richard 2 first sat on the throne at the age of 10. He has been a king all his life. But when his popular cousin, Henry Bolingbroke, illegally returns from banishment to reclaim his stolen inheritance, England rallies in his favor against its King. Bereft of friends, his army, and his title, Richard is forced to face the truth that within the circumference of the hollow crown is nothing but himself—a man who is yet to be.
